Education & Learning
Our archives are not just about recording history and the past. They are equally important in informing the present. Archives have a vital role to play ensuring young people are empowered to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. We are working to raise awareness of the educational potential of archives, through partnerships among educators and archivists and the communities they serve, to ensuring equal access to the archival heritage for children and young people across Scotland.
Our education work is led by an Education Committee composed of educators and archivists and guided by a strategic plan. We deliver training and resources, facilitate partnerships and develop education and outreach projects.
