Emergency Response Networks, Scotland

There are many professionals working across the Scottish heritage sector who hold a wide range of expertise and professional knowledge in emergency planning, training and salvage response who are willing to share this with colleagues, especially those without access to conservation advice or working in isolation. There are currently two established voluntary networks operating in Scotland. If you work outside of the areas these networks cover you can still contact a network for advice and information on planning or training for emergencies and for effectively responding to a disaster.

This webpage provides free training, advice and resources shared by members of the networks.

If your area is not covered, consider establishing your own area network by reaching out to local organisations and making contacts. If you decide to form a volunteer network, contact SCA to list your network details here so the professional support continues to grow.

As a heritage sector professional, you too can offer your expertise and advice to colleagues across Scotland in addition to these networks. To have your contact details saved and shared, please contact us.
