Emily was born and has grown up on the Isle of Lewis and just completed her last year of high school at the time of the interview and offered an insight into the challenges faced by many young adults across Scotland who have had their education and social lives uprooted during lockdown. Emily’s interview is an important reminder of how far reaching the impacts of Covid19 and lockdown have been on every age group but especially for those who experienced huge milestones in their lives during the pandemic.
