Encouraged by the gradual safe return to live events we are delighted to be offering CAHG2022 as in person conference. We will be co-hosting with the Irish Community Archive Network, Galway County Council, and Hardman Library NUI Galway. The event will be set within the excellent facilities and beautiful parkland campus of NUI Galway Conference and Event Centre. Our conference is an annual celebration of the richness and diversity of community archives and heritage across the UK and Ireland, attracting participants from groups, organisations, institutions and individuals who are passionate about the difference and change we can make when working together and learning from one another.

Theme

We will explore community connectedness, collaboration and mutual support: following the concept of Meitheal – the Irish word for a work team, gang or party; it denotes the traditional co-operative labour system in Ireland where groups of neighbours help each other in turn with farming work.

Register now for our 2022 Conference in Galway, Ireland – 15-17 July 2022, here.

There is also discounted Galway University Accommodation available for conference delegates, find out more here.

Digital Posters

We will be displaying posters on a large screen at the conference to showcase the work of groups. It is easy to submit a poster on a PowerPoint slide. For more information, please contact Audrey Wilson – a.wilson@scottisharchives.org.uk
