6-MONTH ROLE. February to July 2023
Approx. 40 days at £300 per day (VAT included) + expenses.
Total fee (excl. expenses) = £12000.00

The Scottish Council on Archives (SCA) wishes to appoint a qualified archivist to work with them on a project from February to July 2023 called Scottish Community Archives Toolkit. The role will involve:
• Providing one-to-one online and in-person training on cataloguing, sharing and engagement for community groups with archival material. Initially working with existing community partners and groups, the programme will also engage with groups from diverse communities.
• Helping to develop content for a community archive microsite on the SCA website to support community groups with managing, promoting and sharing their collections. This will include downloadable guides, videos, and audio recordings.
• Helping to establish a pilot peer support network so that representatives of community groups who have undergone training and/or are experienced can help other groups with their archival material.
