SCA Annual Review 2019-20

SCA Annual Review 2019-20

13 July 2020

We are delighted to share with you the Scottish Council on Archives Annual Review 2019/20.

SCA has had another busy year, working in collaboration with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to deliver a programme supporting and promoting the work of archivists, records managers, and conservators. Key achievements in the year include the launch of a Collecting Policy Framework; the development of a significant new series of emergency planning guidance documents; a series of ‘First Steps’ workshops for community archivists; a second ‘Why Archives Matter’ conference on the theme of ‘Heritage, Memory, Identity’; and a dedicated education coaching programme which was provided to eight archives services across the country.

You can download the Annual Review here.

The new archives portal we are developing in partnership with Jisc/Archives Hub is taking shape, and we hope to be in a position to launch it in late 2020/early 2021.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have questions about any aspect of our work.
