The Scottish Council on Archives (SCA) is seeking an experienced consultant to lead on the development of an online Deposited Collections Online Toolkit, supported by the ARA Research and Advocacy Fund.

The toolkit will provide practical guidance, resources, and advocacy materials to support archivists and archive holders throughout the UK and Ireland in managing deposited and loaned collections. It will help address sector-wide challenges relating to ownership, access, legal clarity, and institutional risk, while promoting consistent, ethical, and sustainable practice.

This project is supported with a grant from the Archives and Records Association (UK and Ireland) Research, Development and Advocacy Fund.
