The next deadline for applications for FNL grants is on 1 November 2019.
Applying for a grant is easy: send an email of application with details and email it to Nell Hoare at email@example.com. For details of the application process, terms and conditions of grant as well as what to include in your letter of application see the FAQs.
You need to explain i) the historical, literary and other qualities of the proposed acquisition and ii) its significance to your collection. We also take into account price, condition and provenance.
Grants typically range from £500-£20,000. We usually contribute part of the cost of an acquisition, though we may be willing to meet the total cost. Receiving a grant from the FNL often helps unlock other sources of funding and, if you require additional funding, we may be able to suggest possible sources to which you can apply.
