Who: Open to volunteer-involving heritage organisations
When: 6 October, 10am – 12.30pm
Where: Online via Zoom
What: Scotland is known for its beautiful landscapes and wildlife, but the great outdoors and nature-based volunteering aren’t accessible for everyone. At this mini-conference, learn about how to diversify natural heritage volunteer programmes and enable everyone to take action for nature. Speakers will detail their work involving marginalised people in natural heritage volunteering, including: removing barriers to residential volunteering, connecting refugee families to local green spaces, supporting young Gypsy Travellers to undertake nature-based volunteering and enabling disabled people to participate in natural heritage adventures and volunteering.
