SCA are delighted to announce that we are putting together another Annual Review publication that highlights the achievements and projects taking place across Scottish collections. The publication seeks to capture and celebrate the important and necessary work being done across the archives and records management sector. Last year’s Year in Review can be found here.
Submissions for articles are now open, and we are keen to hear about your highlights from the last year (c.April 2024-March 2025), particularly on the following subjects:
- Exhibitions
- Accessions
- Volunteer work
- Anniversaries
- Community engagement/audience development
- Grant funded projects
- Internal use/support from within wider organisation
Advocating for the sector and the work of archivists and records managers is at the heart of what SCA does. This publication seeks to offer an annual insight into the importance of this work, and to further strengthen the case for using and supporting archive services.
If you would be interested in submitting an article or image (articles can be anything from 200 to 1200 words), please email Marissa, m.trimble@scottisharchives.org.uk, providing a brief overview of what you would like featured. We are keen to include work undertaken by all branches of our sector: archives, records management, and book/paper conservation.
