Community Archives & Heritage Group Scotland are excited to invite community archives & groups to participate in a unique opportunity to feature their image on our postcards used to celebrate and highlight the diverse collections from across the country. We know community collections hold engaging visual stories, and we’d love to showcase them to a wider audience.
What We’re Looking For: We are seeking compelling, high-quality images that represent the essence of your collection or community. These can be of your collection or of activities you have undertaken such as workshops, exhibition launch or community events. The winning images will be featured on our postcards, which we distribute widely to engage and inform people about the richness of heritage and culture in Scotland accessible through our communities.
Benefits of Participating:
- Wider Exposure: Your archive/community will be credited on each postcard, allowing your work to reach a broad audience, including potential supporters, collaborators, and enthusiasts.
- Increased Visibility: Our postcards are circulated through our marketing channels, events, and partners. Featuring your image will help raise awareness of your group and the important work you do.
- Recognition: As the winner, your group will receive a special feature on our website and social media, driving additional attention to your collection and activities.
How to Submit: Please submit a high-resolution image (300 dpi or higher) along with a brief description and any necessary permissions as we may need to edit them by Sunday 10th November to m.trimble@scottisharchives.org.uk
Multiple entries are welcome, but each image must be submitted individually.
We are eager to showcase the incredible work happening in communities, and we hope you will take part in this exciting opportunity.
