Good storage is arguably the most important preservation measure for photographic prints and negatives. This coupled with good quality storage housings, will have a lasting, positive impact on the preservation of a photographic collection.

Peter Dickson, Conservator at National Records of Scotland will focus on the photographic formats most found in community archives, highlighting the causes of deterioration and providing practical advice on handling and storage materials of photographic material.
