In recent months, public bodies across Scotland have responded in their own way to the Covid-19 public health crisis. Often delivering new services in new ways with new technology. The decisions and actions of the Scottish public sector during this time will be the subject of interest for researchers for many years to come, and the information documenting these is vital for understanding this period of emerging history we are living through.
In partnership with National Records of Scotland, this webinar will be an exploration of the challenges and opportunities around capturing and documenting these responses through the management and selection of records of enduring value.
With presentations from Frank Rankin, Information Governance Consultant, and Laura Gould, National Records Scotland, Archive Depositor Liaison Branch, we will explore the issues around retention scheduling, archival appraisal and invite discussion as to what is required to ensure records of enduring value which document Scotland’s response to the Covid crisis are identified, captured and preserved.
Registration: This webinar is fully subscribed; we will be recording the sessions and will make them available.
