Membership of the SCA continues to grow and to date we have a total of 198, made up of 168 ‘Individual Members’, 11 ‘Organisational Members’ and 19 ‘Corporate Members’. Our intention is to ensure we are as representative of the entire sector as possible, therefore we would encourage all current members to please spread the word. You can find out more about membership at: www.scottisharchives.org.uk/membership.
2015’s Annual Members’ Meeting (30 September 2015) was held in conjunction with the first event organised by our Preservation Committee. We were delighted with the high level of interest in the event and the very positive feedback. SCA hope to repeat this success at our next Annual Members’ Meeting on 29 September 2016. The meeting will again be held as part of a larger event – details will be released in due course.

The current SCA Board of Trustees is as follows: Phil Astley, Caroline Brown, Rachel Hart, Claire Johnson, Irene O’Brien (Chair), Linda Ramsay, Elizabeth Roads, Victoria Stobo and Kevin Wilbraham.
SCA is delighted to announce that Victoria Stobo has joined the Board as a Co-Opted Trustee. Up to three individuals may be co-opted from time to time by the Board of Trustees to enable the organisation to address any specific skills areas in line with SCA projects and activities. In Victoria’s case, the Board welcomes her expertise in the area of copyright.
The current Board’s first term of office will last approximately 18 months, covering the period 30 March 2015 until the third Annual Members’ Meeting in September 2016. SCA recently recruited Robert Wright as our Administration and Events Assistant. Robert’s contribution will be invaluable as we continue to deliver a wide range of projects and events. Robert stated:
"I am delighted to join the SCA, and am looking forward to working with such an enthusiastic team and getting involved in our various exciting programmes."

Report & Financial Statements
At the Second Annual Members’ Meeting, the Board of Trustees presented the approved Report & Financial Statements for the Period 31 December 2013 to 30 March 2015. The report can be downloaded at: www.scottisharchives.org.uk/annualaccounts.
The SCA financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March. The next set of accounts will be presented to the Members at the Annual Members’ Meeting in September 2016.
We continue to be grateful to the Scottish Government for providing a core funding grant of £140,000 per annum. This grant is reviewed annually and we are pleased to report that this funding has been confirmed for the 2016-17 financial year. Whilst SCA reports expenditure and delivery of activities against our annual Business Plan to Scottish Government, the organisation is an independent Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
